# Removing Clumps and Checking Your Baseline

> Undo an installation change carefully and repeat a known test.

Publisher and author: Clumps Mod. Published: October 9, 2026.

## Record the setup before removal

Write down the active Minecraft version, loader and Clumps filename. Back up the world and configuration, and keep a copy of the jar outside the active mods folder. If a pack manager installed it, use that manager's workflow when possible.

## Stop before editing files

Close the game or stop the server, then remove the Clumps jar from the active mods directory. Leave other mods unchanged for the first comparison. Start the instance again and check its log for issues rather than assuming the removal completed the investigation.

## Repeat your original comparison

Return to the same test location and activity used before installation. Compare similar session lengths and background workloads. Record whether the symptom changed, stayed the same or became inconsistent. If you decide to reinstall, stop the instance and restore the matching file you saved. Use these notes to distinguish the effect of this change from updates, settings edits or other activity that happened during the same period.
